Frank Fountas has over 27 years in the glass industry. He began on the path to entrepreneurship in high school majoring in Physics and Computer Programming. He joined the High School Students Studies Program and volunteered with the Food and Drug Administration. Frank also attended classes at M.I.T. before continuing his education at Wentworth Institute of Technology majoring in Aeronautical Technology. All this, while working at an auto body repair facility.

Later, at 21, he began Detail Auto Body and Detail Glass Art. Concentration was on custom car builds and restoration as well as working with glass sculpture, etched glass and auto glass installation. At 24, Frank closed Detail Auto Body and continued Detail Glass Art while continuing his education by attending Computer Learning Center for Computer Programming. He was subsequently contracted to write software and automate the office for United Mirror and Plate Glass. While writing code for the office he also worked in the field undertaking auto glass and glazing installations.

Frank then worked for a union glass business for a short time before realizing the growth of Detail Glass Art.

This part time business had grown. With a partner, Detail Glass Service Company Inc. grew to a full time glazing, auto glass, etched glass and window tinting operation serving the greater Boston area.

In 1990 at 28 years old, Frank sold his shares of the company and moved to Tampa, FL. where he founded C Thru Glass Service. The business started by focusing closely with dealers and auto body repair shops. The company grew to include automotive air and water leak detection and repair, fabrication of glass for custom cars and street rods, custom frameless shower door installations, custom etched glass, custom mirror installations and window tinting.

2005. Frank was asked if he would like to instruct in the application of architectural sealant by window film maker Bekaert. During these classes Frank noticed many people had difficulty performing this anchoring process. Additionally this process did not adequately support residential installations. In thinking of a solution, Frank came up with a labor and cost saving system. Welcome the arrival of BondKap®. With this invention came the evolution of C Thru Glass and Security Films LLC. Frank also formed FilmFastener LLC as the world wide wholesale distributor of his Patent Pending BondKap® Anchoring System.
